Star Citizen RP/PVP Organization
The pathway to the various Ravenbound Corps
Ravenbound Battlegroup (PVP)
The Ravenbound Battlegroup is the primary subgroup of individuals that wish to involve themselves in large scale combined-arms PVP warfare on a regular basis and are committed to growing our ranks in Star Citizen with an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation.
When joining the Battlegroup, initiates are inducted into the Ravenbound Academy and assigned a mentor tasked with teaching the necessary tenets of Teamwork and Communication associated with playing their mentee's desired role. Over the course of up to six weeks, the mentee will be invited to join in on all trainings and events that Ravenbound officially hosts, and will work closely with their Mentor to learn brevity, cohesion, and the situational awareness. We greatly encourage that the new members attend at least 1 meetup, training, or combined arms event with their mentor at least once per week.

Fierce and relentless, Berserkers are versatile infantry warriors skilled in close combat, sniping, and scouting. With advanced weaponry and specialized armor, they fearlessly charge into battle, overwhelming foes with ferocity. Equally deadly from afar, they gather intelligence and scout enemy positions with agility and stealth. Their unwavering determination secures victory, whether in direct assault or strategic reconnaissance missions.

Bold and daring, Gryphons are the guardians of the ground from the skies, piloting dropships, transports, and bombers with unparalleled precision. Navigating through hostile airspace, they deliver crucial supplies, reinforcements, and devastating airstrikes to bolster allied ground assets. Their expertise ensures the safety and success of ground operations, as they clear enemy positions and pave the way for advances on the battlefield. As the aerial lifeline for ground forces, Gryphons play a pivotal role in securing victory for their allies in the field.

Masterful yet reserved, Strix pilots expertly navigate large, multi-crew vessels through the vastness of space. Their mastery of control allows them to maneuver with precision, coordinating their crew to optimize performance in combat and navigation alike. In the cockpit, they command respect and inspire confidence, ushering their crew to battle with unwavering skill and determination. Due to the high level of responsibility that comes with being a Strix Pilot, prospective students must first complete either Spectre or Gryphon training before being able to apply for the role of Strix.

Swift and elusive, Spectres are the epitome of spaceborne agility, navigating their agile craft with unmatched skill and precision. While they excel in solo missions, their true strength lies in their ability to work seamlessly with their wingmen. Through coordinated maneuvers and tactical teamwork, they outmaneuver adversaries, turning the vastness of space into their own personal battleground. With their wingmen by their side, Spectres become an unstoppable force, striking fear into the hearts of their enemies and ensuring victory in even the most challenging of dogfights.

Agile and versatile, Sylphs are the indispensable crew members who keep the ship’s guns blazing and engines humming. With precision and expertise, they man the ship’s weapons systems, unleashing devastating firepower upon enemies. Simultaneously, they ensure the smooth operation of critical ship functions as skilled engineers, maintaining peak performance even in the heat of battle. Their dedication and proficiency make them the backbone of the crew aboard any Spectre, Gryphon, or Strix ship, ensuring the ship’s success in combat engagements and beyond.
Battlegroup Academy F.A.Q.
Some roles lend themselves to a stratification of duties. These require specialized knowledge, skills, and a degree of responsibility not traditionally afforded to Battlegroup Members. In order to ensure success of the Battlegroup and the Members placed in these advanced roles, additional training is required to be granted these roles. More information on these roles can be found in the overview of their parent roles. Or in their individual curriculum overview.
If you are interested in one of these roles, it is your duty to find a mentor who will agree to train you in these advanced roles. Your mentor will then inform the Dean or the Registrar that they are taking you on as a mentee in the advanced role they are approved to mentor in.
Those affiliated with allied orgs or sister orgs may request an interview with the Role Commander most similar to their current or past role they performed with the previous org prior to transferring to Ravenbound. During the interview, the Commander will determine how much, if any, training is required beyond nomenclature, to succeed in their role. If no training is required, a callsign may be given on the spot, and a 1 month probationary period will begin to judge whether the assessment of 'no necessary training' is correct. Additional training can be assigned during this time if deemed necessary. Those wanting to transfer to Ravenbound but wish to perform a new role will need to commit to the traditional entry route through the Academy
